Boston Community Pediatrics Hosts 4th Annual Thanksgiving Meal Distribution for 325 Families

Updated: 2 days ago

On Tuesday, November 26th, Boston Community Pediatrics (BCP) hosted its 3rd annual Thanksgiving meal distribution.

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude for all of us, but it can also be stressful for families facing the rising costs of food, housing, utilities, and other essential goods. The goal of BCP’s Thanksgiving Meal Distribution is to provide everything families need for their holiday. Despite heavy rain and dropping temperatures, staff and volunteers rallied together to distribute 325 turkeys, sides, and pies, 320 bags of fresh fruits and vegetables, 300 bags of non-perishable goods, 325 gift cards, 370 new winter coats, and more to BCP patients and their families. Our goal? To let families focus on what truly matters—spending time together.

BCP could not have done this without the support of many friends, volunteers, and community partners. A special thank you to those who made this event possible:

  • City of Boston

  • Commonwealth Kitchen (especially their amazing vendors, Big Little Pies, Family Affair Catering, Breez Gourmet Catering, and Lalu’s Chicken, who provided sides and pies.)

  • The Croft School

  • Greater Boston Food Bank

  • Huntington YMCA

  • Jacobson

  • National Charity League Wellesley Chapter
