Once again, with the help of an extraordinary group of partners, BCP transformed a vacant space in the South End into a stunning winter wonderland!
On December 13th and 14th, 2024, BCP families were welcomed into the gorgeous Holiday Shop to “shop” for new gifts, which were then wrapped by volunteers. Families also got to select a gingerbread house, a new picture book, incredible stocking stuffers (including tailored gift bags and hot chocolate kits made with love by a number of different friends of BCP), fresh produce, shelf-stable groceries, hygiene kits, gift cards, and more. Families also had the chance to take photos with the most fabulous Santa, while Curious George and the Man in the Yellow Hat also delighted children with storytime and photos.
At BCP, we always prioritize dignity in everything we do. This event was no exception. Our kids’ corner kept little ones entertained with crafts and activities and temporary holiday-themed tattoos so that parents could select gifts without their children seeing them that were wrapped on-site to surprise their children with these gifts on Christmas morning.
BCP’s 2024 Holiday Shop served over 331 families, including nearly 756 children. We are deeply grateful to our wonderful partners, supporters, volunteers, and staff for this extraordinary effort to bring holiday magic to the BCP community!
We would like to extend special thanks to The B Fund, Cohere Capital, Frost Productions, Greater Boston Food Bank, Huntington YMCA, Jacobson, Jen Hawkins Events, JNG Event Consulting, Moderna, National Charity League Wellesley Chapter, and Silversmith Capital Partners for making this event possible and for their incredible partnership.
